Overall I had a pretty good experience with this project. I with thought I could have done a little more with it. Since we were doing another group members dad's business the rest of the group could not put anything on the Facebook or Twitter. Also, everyone in the group had very busy schedules, including me so there was never time to get together or talk about what we all wanted to do next. I feel that everybody in the group contributed to the best of their ability with out situation. A good idea that we came up with to write the paper is that every person writes a little section of it so not just one person writes it and we all contribute something to it.
It was a little difficult to do other social media sites because the business we were doing it for was not to sure about anything besides Facebook. If I were to do this project again I might have chosen a different business. I did like that that it was another group members dad because it was easier to get pictures and an inside scoop on everything.

Webinar
The speaker for this webinar is Nick Unsworth.
He is an entrepreneur for his business Life On Fire.
This webinar is about the 6 figure Facebook marketer.
The first thing I learned was one of the best decisions you could make is to focus on Facebook ads. Another thing I learned was to network industry events. Post pictures, connect with Facebook, and know who your "center of influence" is. The third thing I learned was private Facebook groups can help your business by being able to connect with people one on one to help them understand what they need to understand more.
I could use this information I think in the future when I get a real job that needs good marketing in a new way. The help get more business is knowing how to use social media in the right way, especially Facebook because of how popular it is. This webinar helped show great ways to market on Facebook and it defiantly could help me out in the future.

I read the paper titled Location-Based Services: Introduction To Location-Based Services
Here's the article!
By 2011 1 in 2 Americans will have a smart phone. People will also be on the web on their phones a lot more then they ever were with these smart phones. Location based services will also be on the rise because of smart phones, the paper said "Using Location-based services, your organization can tap into that on-the-go market by producing special offers and making it easy for your customers to spread the word about your business."
One of the most useful things I learned from the paper was that location based services are good for business. The paper said "Location-based services give you a great way to identify and reward your frequent customers. Best of all, these services offer FREE word-of-mouth advertising and promotions. Every time one of your customers checks-in at your location, they're telling their friends about your business." Most businesses should use location based services because it could possibly help them get more business which means more revenue for them.
Some different examples of these location based services out there are foursquare, Yelp, WHERE, and Facebook places. Foursquare is the most popular of them all. In 2011 foursquare increased its user base to over 7 million users. Anytime you are somewhere you can also post a status on Facebook and pin point exactly where you are at. Yelp has great reviews and ratings about everywhere and anywhere. WHERE is big on the east coast. It helps you locate the nearest lets say coffee shop that is closest to you.
I found this paper useful. I never knew that location based services were so popular. I do not use the check in on Facebook or anything because I do not think people need to know exactly where I am at all times. I do think that WHERE is great, because sometimes I am in an area I don't know and need to find a place to eat or get a coffee and it is really easy and simple to find them using this app.
Some surprising information I found was that the percent between male and female who use check in services is pretty much equal. I would think that female would use it more just because they are into that stuff more. I also found it surprising that people who are full time employment use the check in service the most. I would think they did not have that much time to use these and that possibly part time would use these apps more.

Blog Post 3
The first Facebook page I looked at was Village Green Dentistry in my hometown of Windham NH. They have a nice cover page of the outside of the building, but that is the only cover page and they haven't changed it ever. The don't post on the page a lot it looks like maybe only once a month, and the posts are about different specials they have, but i think that they she be posting at least once a week. Click here to look at the Facebook
The next Facebook page I looked at was the Tuscan Kitchen in Salem NH. They use their logo for both their cover photo and profile picture. I feel like they should be different then one another. They also have not changed their cover photo ever. What they do do a good job at is posting about specials and different events going on there. They also post different random things to get people to post comments on. They do a very good job with that. They also have over 5,000 likes so they can get the word out about the place to a lot of people.

The final blog I took a look at was Romanos Pizzeria of Salem NH. They have eye catching pictures for their cover photo and they have a bunch it is not just one. Their profle picture changes between different food they make which I think is a cool idea. They also do a good job posting a couple times a day about specials going on that day to get the word out. They have over 4,000 likes on their page which is great and a lot of people know what is going on there that day. Click to see what I'm talking about!!

One way to get your Facebook business page noticed is pictures. By adding pictures, especially ones of your business and employees in it. Let's face it people like looking at pictures and the more pictures, the more people will just go take a look at your page to see what it is all about. Always put descriptions about the pictures that are posted too.
A second way to get the page noticed is to respond to comments. 80% of users who receive a response to their post made a purchase as a result to the interaction. By people buying your product or service they can tell other people and it could make sales go up all just because they got a response from their comment.
A third way to get the page noticed is change your cover image frequently. By changing the picture the page is different every time a person goes on the page. It keeps them intrigued and to keep going to the page and looking threw it and seeing what everything is about.

Blog Post #1
I really did not find any of the stats surprising. The articles all just said things that I basically already assumed. Adults from the ages 19-29 use social networking the most. Probably just because social networking became very popular with the generation. It also said that the ages 65+ are the ages that use social networking the least. I think mostly because it was never popular for this generation and that they never wanted to learn how to use everything, and that they grew up without having to use social networking.
One interesting fact I found from one of the articles was that Facebook users are more trusting then others. I don't understand how that is possible. Anther interesting fact I found was that for most online seniors the internet and social networking is a daily part of their lives. A final interesting fact I found was that people with less then high school diplomas use social networking more then people with college degrees. But then people with college degrees use social networking on their cell phones more then people with no high school diploma.
My siblings and myself use social networking all the time. It is basically our lives. One of us is always on one social network or another. My mom uses Facebook and that is it. And my grandparents have no idea what social networking is. It proves all the stats in all of the articles. The younger generation is obsessed with social networking, while the 65+ group know the bare minimum about social networking
